Artist Statement

Beee Colquitt is fantasy surrealism artist, exploring themes of femininity, emotion, and mortality. She does this by intertwining these themes with fantastical worlds with everyday magic. As an artist who suffers from blindness she often paints these whimsical worlds in large scale pieces, offering her the ability to pack in smaller details. By using oil paints she is able to achieve depths of color and luminosity to these works.

Artist Bio

Beee Colquitt is a young artist based out of Waxhaw, NC. Starting at a young age, finding passion for art in medical offices, she now pursues art as a full time passion. Suffering from chronic pain conditions and blindness often her works can take several months to complete. Passionate about making every moment in life as magical as possible she shares her art to reach others. Currently at 22 she operates out of her backyard studio, sharing her daily life on social media.
